My name is David Kidston, designer by day and blogger by night. I soon hope to be registered and able to call my self an Architect till then I am not. However, for the past 10 years work predominantly for a large Sydney architectural firm, with a short stint in London, whilist also traveling. While much of my experience has been in the realm of large commercial and public projects, but find much joy at the domestic scale also. It is this domestic scale which this blog will focus, for the benefit of both yourself as the read and myself as blogger through the research required as I take one various design exercises, case studies and projects.
Why designCite?
There are many wedsite dedicated to various design ideas and aspects pitch at the proffessional. There are also many websites for the home builder/ renovator littered with design tips add the lastest fad to your home. We all know these do not stand the test of time.
The ambition of this blog is to help bridge a gap between architects and the general public. This means addressing issues that are relevent to the everyone and also take you on a jorney into the world of design that you can relate to.
